Platinum Resistance Thermometer

Platinum Resistance Thermometer   (EE - 527)

Enclosed in pyrex glass tube or aluminium tube of approsimately 30 cms long & 2 cms diameter. A fine platinum wire is wound on the mica. Its resistance is approximately 2.8 ohms. Two compensatory leads are connected to four terminals on a square block. The terminals are marked CL and PL to represent compensating and platinum leads.

Callender & Griffith's Bridge Dial Type

Callender & Griffith's Bridge Dial Type   (EE - 529)

This instrument is an improvement over the Student's Potentiometer. The 50 cms long side wire of 1 ohm resistance is calibrated into 100 parts to facilitrate calculations. 14 coils are arranged in series in dial from each being of 1 ohm resistance. Accuracy of adjustment 0.1% A 2 volts accumulator through a Rheostat and Key should be connected to terminal P1 to P2 and the P.D. to be balanced on it. The value of Potential Gradient can be found by standardising it through a Galvanometer connected to G.C. The value of Potential Gradient can be found standardising it against a standard cell, and thus it can be made direct reading. Imported Testing Bridge.

Carry Foster Bridge   (EE - 530)

Carry Foster Bridge suitable for comparing resistance to a very high degree of accuracy. The slide wire has stout Copper due to temperature difference the ratio coils are wound on the same ebonite bobbine provided with copper pins which dip into mercury cup. Coils can be interchanged by means of commutator with connector, Bridge supplied with one slide wire but without mercury.

It consist of 2 ratio dials of 10,100 and 1000 ohms each and six dials of which three are of R and three are of S each having decade of x10, X 100 & 1000, with eight terminals for AC or battery and for H.P.L. and C. Circuit diagram is engraved on the top plate.

DE-Sauty' Bridge

DE-Sauty' Bridge   (EE - 532)

It is a simple form of bridge giving maximum accuracy while comparing capacitance in term of resistance. Three decade dials x10, x100 and 1000 ohms from one arm. The other arm has also decade dials x10, x100 and 1000 ohms. A special morse key is fitted in the centre of the two arms connecting the battery and the galvanometer. The connection are engraved on the panel which is fitted to a teak wood polished case. All the coils are calibrated on Imported Testing Bridge. Accuracy 0.5 to 1%.

Rayleigh Bridge

Rayleigh Bridge   (EE - 533)

The main feature of the bridge are as under: The ratio arm is in tow dials of 1,10,100 ohms each. The rheostats arm is in three dials having decades of 0.1, 1 & 10. A slide having 0.15 ohms resistance is connected in series with the rheostat arm. The slide wire is calibrated into 100 equal parts for easy calculations. Instead of a simple key a special double key is fitted to bridge. The key is internally connected with terminals for connecting battery and galvanometer. The bridge can also be used as an ordinary Wheatstone bridge. Accuracy 0.5 to 1.1% Fitted in teak wood case with lock and key. All the coils are calibrated on Imported Testing Bridge.

For measurement of inductance in term of capacity and resistance. Main feature are as under :-

Features :
(a) Ratio dials each having resistance 10, 100, 1000 ohms.
(b) Decade dials of x10, x100, x1000 ohms.
(c) Decade dials of above for inductance ohms.
(d) Decade dials of x.1, x1, x10 ohms.
(e) A buzzer is provided for the source of A.C. Supply.

All coils are made from double covered Eureka wire and properly aged & calibrated on Imported Testing Bridge
